QJ8 (EP-8v2 SP) Entry Level / Beginner Setups
Motors
Option 1. QUICK JB-3019-10-J Brushless Outrunner. 990KV motor which comes with cooling fan, massive torque with oversize bearings, motor connectors installed with silicone insulated wires.

Option 2. Hacker A30-10L Outrunner. This 1185KV motor has a 5.0mm shaft. Requires an outrunner motor mount using 2 motor mount  bolts and a pinion per pilot choice. It is recommended to use the Molded Fan or the CNC Alum Fan with this motor for improved  motor cooling.

Option 3. Himax HC3516-0840 outrunner. This 840KV motor is a 350watt 134g motor features a 5.0mm shaft with a cutout for the pinion allen screw.

Option 4. Medusa 1400 Inrunner with heat sink. This approx. 1200KV motor has a 3.17mm shaft. Requires a special motor mount using 2 motor mount bolts.

Option 5. Mega 16/25/4 Inrunner with heat sink. This approx. 1200KV motor has a 3.17mm shaft. Requires a special motor mount using 2 motor mount bolts. 
ESC  (Electronic Speed Control)
Option 1. QUICK, PCB-54-J, 40A ESC, 2 to 4 cells Li-poly, automatic timing advance, comes programmed.

Option 2. Quark 33A . Handles up to 5 Li-ploy cells. Has an Advanced setup mode for control of modes, turbo, torque, noise, type motor, voltage cutoff, braking & etc.  Programmed by pushing the program button when the desired combination  of the 4 colored lights are turned on. Features on-off switch.

Option 3. Quark 65A . Handles up to 6 Li-ploy cells. 150 ampere 15 seconds rating. Has an Advanced setup mode for control of modes, turbo, torque, noise, type motor, voltage cutoff, braking & etc.  Programmed by pushing the program button when the desired combination  of the 4 colored lights are turned on. Features on-off switch.

Option 4. Castle Creations HV 45.  Handles 6 and 8 cells Li-ploy. This controller uses a link adapter cable to interface with a computer to set the desired settings.
BEC  (Battery Eliminator Circuit)
Option 1. Medusa 2.0 BEC. This voltage regulator is designed to handle 4 to 35 volts with a 5 volt output. Max. output 2.4 amps for 4 minutes. Weight 12g

Option 2. Sky Technology Digital BEC. This voltage regulator is designed to handle 6 to 40 volts and supply your radio with 5 volts with a 5 amp rating. Weight 12g. Features on-off switch.

Option 3. Medusa 3.5 BEC. This voltage regulator is designed to handle 8 to 45 volts with a 5 & 6 volt model. Max. output 4amps for 6 minutes. Weight 20g
Servos
Option 1. Hitec 81 Micro, Speed:0.10 sec./60degrees, Torque: 38oz.in. at 4.8v, (1.2x0.48x1.2).  Three of this type of servo can be used for elevator, cyclic, and pitch control on this level of the QJ8. This servo has been used widely for tail rotor control.

Option 2. Hitec 85BB Might Micro, Speed:0.13 sec./60degrees, Torque: 49oz.in. at 4.8v, (1.1x0.45x1.15). Three of this type of servo can be used for elevator, cyclic, and pitch control on this level of the QJ8. This servo has also been used for tail rotor control.

Option 3. Hitec 85MGBB Might Micro, Speed:0.13 sec./60degrees, Torque: 49oz.in. at 4.8v, (1.1x0.45x1.15). Four of this type of servo can be used for elevator, cyclic, pitch and tail rotor control on this level of the QJ8.
Battery
Option 1.With a 23 Tooth Pinion you can use one 14.8volt  4 cell  Li-ploy battery for high performance, loops, rolls, flips, etc. Our HeCell battery has a balancer connector. We stock the 2100mah HeCell battery.

Option 2.With a 23 Tooth Pinion you can use one  11.1volt  3 cell  Li-ploy battery for good  performance flying. Our HeCell battery has a balancer connector. We stock this 2100mah battery.
